(影評) 戀愛沒有假期 (The Holiday)

1. 對的人會欣賞「你的笨拙」

Amanda: I am not sure I even fall in love. Not like the way the other people do. (我不知如何談戀愛，像一般人那樣地談戀愛)

Graham: Well, like I said, Most Interesting Girl award. (我說過你是最有意思的女孩)

Amanda: I am gonna try to see that as a compliment. (我會試著把這句話當成讚美)

Graham: You should. Absolutely. (這絕對是一種讚美)

在Amanda和Graham剛開始相遇的時候，Amanda總是對於感情十分笨拙，

不安的她也時常「多話地」破壞各種氣氛，但這些都對Graham而言無傷大雅，

愛會讓各種粗糙的笨拙都變得可愛，所以你不必樣樣完美，愛你的人自會看到你隱隱閃耀的光芒。

2. 無法掉落的眼淚

Amanda: My parents broke up when I was 15. I’m an only child and I didn’t see it coming. You know we were really close. We used to call ourselves the Three Musketeers. And one night after dinner, my parents sat me down, and told me they were breaking up. I thought they were kidding. And then I saw a suitcase out of corner of my eye, in the hallway. And my dad moved out that night. And I think I cried myself to sleep for, like…Well, anyway, a long time. And then I realized that I’d better toughen up and, well, I got throught it, and, sort of, haven’t cried since.

Amanda 在15歲的時候父母突然離婚，讓她措手不及，因為他們曾經非常緊密，

甚至稱他們三人為「三劍客」，所以當父母離婚時，她非常難過，

哭了很久之後，決定自己要振作起來，武裝自己讓眼淚不再輕易落下，

但後遺症就是她在那之後再也沒有落過一滴眼淚，這段經歷讓她不信賴愛情，

不信賴男人，覺得多麼甜美的情感，就是會在一瞬間垮台，

就像她的父母與她的關係，那麼親密無間的三個人，一夕之間就能被拆散，

而傷心的她，其實從來沒有真正從父母的離異中走出來，她只是把傷口藏著，

假裝自己很堅強，但心裡其實既渴望愛情，但又不斷逼走每一個靠近她的男人，

她測試他們，當他們禁不起考驗後，她又一次失望，去驗證自己對自己的預言，

直到Graham出現，他說自己是個愛哭鬼:「一本好書、一部電影，一張生日卡片都能讓我哭」，

這樣感性又真摯的男人，才能一點一點瓦解理性又悲觀的Amanda，

而且當Amanda一次見到Graham的一雙女兒時，看到那麼寵愛女兒的Graham，

彷彿看見自己曾經擁有的美好童年，從失去母親的Graham女兒身上，好像看見失去父親的Amanda自己，

當可愛的兩個女兒說她們和爸爸是「三劍客」時，瞬間戳中Amanda心理最柔軟的那一塊靈魂，

所以她願意嘗試走進那個家庭，找回童年那片遺失的拚圖，替自己拚上，

當她真的要離開英國回美國的時候，她發現自己在計程車上落下了眼淚，

她開心的笑了，終於有人破碎了她的鎧甲，終於有人讓她相信，她值得那樣美好的愛情。

3. 走不出的愛情迴圈

Iris: It turned out that he wasn’t in love with me like I thought. What I’m trying to say is, I understand feeling as small and as insignificant as humanly possible, and how it can actually ache in places that you didn’t know you had inside you, and it doesn’t matter how many new haircuts you get or gyms you join or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends, you still go to bed every night going over every detail, and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how in the hell, for that brief moment, you could think that you were that happy? And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he’ll see the light and show up at your door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you’ll go somewhere new and you’ll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again, and little pieces of your soul will finally come back.

Iris愛上了同公司的Jasper，但這位男士同時和另一位女同事調情，最後跟那位女同事求婚，

在整個過程中，Jasper始終和Iris牽扯不清，圖她的各項「便利性」，他可以便利地享受她濃烈的愛情，

他可以便利地利用她的盲目感情，他可以便利地請她閱讀他的作品並給建議，

她太愛了，而他知道了，她的愛太容易得到了，所以他無法好好珍惜，

這樣的無解迴圈長達三年，只要Jasper一點微弱的愛的信號，

就足夠支撐她繼續催眠自己愛下去，直到她離開英國到美國的洛杉磯，

這個迴圈才開始從邊邊角角開始鬆脫，可愛的名編劇Arthur不斷讓她看堅強女性的電影，

Miles電影配樂師的各項肯定和支持，她從這些人身上一點一滴地找回自信，

所以當Jasper不辭千里來美國找她時，她終於有底氣對他說不，並找回自己走失的理智:

“Jasper, you have never treated me right, ever. You broke my heart and you acted like somehow it was my fault, my misunderstanding, and I was too in love with you to ever be mad at you, so I just punished myself for years! But you waltzing in here on my lovely Christmas holiday and telling me that you don’t want to lise me whilst you’re about to get married, somehow newly entitles me to say it’s over. This twisted, toxic thing between us is finally finished.”

這一串控訴真的是人間清醒，句句在理，渣男會不斷把持著你，並把錯誤怪罪在你身上，

只因為知道你深愛他，而太愛他的你，也捨不得對他生氣，深怕你的怒氣會把他推得更遠，

無計可施的你，只好在歲歲年年間懲罰和責怪自己，所以不要輕易地成為愛情的人質，

怎麼樣都要保有「勢均力敵」的氣勢，不然過度矮化自己，不然就會像Miles一樣，

人太好的他，總是不被善待和珍惜，只有擁有足夠的底氣，才不會被愛情給操控。

最後編劇也讓這兩個總是不被好好對待的人走在一起，對的愛情要給真正懂得呵護的人，祝福Iris和Miles。
